Matt’s Story
The Journey has a mandate for existence – our mission, to help people who’ve written off religion find Jesus, and, through his transformational power, follow him fully with a faith that is impossible for the world to ignore. Matt shares his story about how he accepted an invitation and said “yes” to gathering after years of avoiding church. “From the second I entered the building, I was greeted with smiles; people were genuinely excited to meet me. I was blown away. It felt strange, but I decided to give it a chance. I kept coming back and I loved it so much. Olivia’s Story
“I chose to get baptized because it was always something I wanted to do, but it was also something I needed to do. Getting more involved on the J-Team and joining J-Groups truly helped me grow more than I thought, helping me make the decision to get baptized. I prayed about it every day for a month if it was the right decision for me or not, and God clearly told me this is my next step. I felt completely calm getting baptized because God led me there and I knew it was right! After I came up from the water I felt renewed and joyful. I felt like a new person in Christ!”

Katie’s Story
Throughout 2021, Katie was at an all time low and her anxiety escalated to an all time high. On one of her days off, Katie stumbled across a Facebook ad for The Journey. She thought, “What do I have to lose?” and listened to the first message of the series. Here’s what Katie said: “I have never felt that way listening to church or a message before in my life. For the first time, I felt like I would be accepted and part of a family just the way I am. Since that first message, I have been gathering online every week. I slowly started changing my mindset and put my faith in God and not fear. My husband started listening in as well and it has become something we both enjoy together every week.”
